Pervasive Computing: Bridging Multidisciplinary Knowledge 报告人: Tao Gu, Universit of Southern Denmark 时间: 5月20日,上午9:00 - 11:00 地点: 蒙民伟楼109室 摘要 The emerging Pervasive Computing is continuing to evolve and shape our future lives. The research problems in this area are often multifaceted and multidime nsional, requiring in-depth and cross-disciplinary knowledge to obtain solutio ns. In this talk, I will first give an overview of my early work on context mo deling, context middleware, and context lookup. I will demonstrate how to addr ess several critical issues efficiently by leveraging on the semantic web and Peer-to-Peer technologies. Then, I will present our recent effort on sensor-ba sed human activity recognition. We propose our algorithms to address several c hallenging problems in recognizing activities, and evaluate our solution throu gh comprehensive real-world empirical studies. On-going research and open prob lems will also be discussed. 简介 Dr. Tao Gu is currently an Assistant Professor at University of Southern Denma rk. He received his Bachelor degree from Huazhong University of Science and Te chnology, and Master degree from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, and Ph.D. in computer science from National University of Singapore (NUS). He led and co-led many research projects such as context-aware infrastructure, co ntext reasoning and sensor-based activity recognition, and published many pape rs on prestigious conferences such as Percom, Ubicomp, Pervasive, and Mobituit ous. He also served as technical program committee member for Percom, Mobituit ous, etc. His current research interests involve various aspects of ubiquitous / pervasive computing and wireless sensor networks. |
