Since the sensors are usually deployed in hostile environment and cannot get recharged frequently, the power in sensors is the scarcest resource. Recently, attention has been drawn to using mobility control to minimize energy consumption in wireless sensor networks. However, the existing schemes suffer from slow convergence and oscillation. In our research, we put forward quick convergence mobility control schemes without oscillation. We also identify a novel privacy issue: sink location privacy in our schemes and propose sink-anonymity schemes to protect the sink. Analysis of the schemes shows their effectiveness in sink protection. The schemes can be well integrated into our mobility control protocols to enhance their security. 简 历 Dr. Xiao Chen is an associate professor of computer science at Texas State University.
