Modeling with Mesh Surfaces for Architectural Design 报告人: 王文平教授. 香港大学 报告摘要:Mesh surfaces with planar faces are demanded in architectural design for modeling surfaces composed of glass/metal panels. In this presentation I will discuss recent developments on modeling free-form shapes with quad meshes and hexagonal meshes with planar faces. In particular, we consider those meshes that possess offset surfaces, as equired in building multi-layered structures. It will be shown how techniques from discrete differential geometry can be used effectively to reveal the essential properties of this special type of mesh surfaces. 王文平简历:Wenping Wang is a Professor of Computer Science at The University of Hong Kong.
