its relationships to other computer science and inter-disciplinary areas. We w
ill then present our recent work on hierarchical information visualization and
navigation on mobile interfaces. The project aims at providing an intuitive,
efficient, and user-customizable display structure for mobile users to rapidly
find desired information. I will also present some relationships between abst
ract painting and information visualization. I will finally introduce the graduate programs of UTD CS Department and provid
e information on admissions requirements, how to obtain financial support, and
cost for self-financial study.
张康简历:
张康 博士 现任美国德克萨斯大学达拉斯分校计算机科学系 教授, 系副主任(主管博士和
硕士生招生和资助), 可视计算实验室主任。同时还是该校计算机工程专业和地理信息系统
专业的兼职教授, 中国电子科技大学和苏州大学兼职教授。他于1982年2月在成都电讯工程
学院(现改名为电子科技大学)取得计算机工程学士学位(七七级),1990年在英国布莱顿大学
(国家学术委员会)取得计算机科学博士学位。张康博士现任Journal of Visual Language
s and Computing编委及书评编辑(2001-至今), 和International Journal of Software
Engineering and Knowledge Engineering副主编(2006-至今)。发表过4本论著,40多篇期
刊论文,和100多篇会议论文。 张康教授的主要研究领域是可视化语言,信息可视化,计算机与美学和艺术的关系, 软件工
