摘  要：
Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) are networks formed by a large
number of sensors which collect data from the physical world.
The network performance of WSN is mainly constrained to the
performance of static sensors which are usually cheap and simple
devices with limited resources. In this talk, we will introduce
hybrid mobile sensor networks which use a small number of powerful
mobile sensors to improve the network lifetime and network coverage
of WSN. For the network lifetime problem, we will show that a single
mobile sensor can increase the network lifetime by two times in a
large hybrid network. For the network coverage problem, we will
demonstrate a hybrid network structure which can provide full cover-
age in a large area by moving a small number of mobile sensors over
a limited distance.

报告人简介：

Dr. Wang Wei received his B.Eng and M.Sc in Electronics Science and
Engineering department of Nanjing University in 1997 and 2000 respect-
ively. Since 2004 he has been working towards his PhD degree in the ECE
Department of National University of Singapore under the supervision
of Dr. Vikram Srinivasan and Prof. Chua Kee-Chaing. His research interests
are broadly in the area of wireless networks. He has published several
papers in top international journals or conferences such as IEEE
Communication Letters, IEEE Trans. on Wireless Communications (2 papers),
IEEE/ACM Trans. on Networking, and MobiCom (3 papers).
